Gifts I Received For Valentines

I know not everybody loves Valentines Day, but I do. I enjoy the bursts of colour after a grey January, all the reds and pinks and heart patterned gifts that are for sale.

I was lucky enough to receive some fantastic presents from my partner, many of which have been on my lust list for a while. Below is what gifts I got for Valentines Day.

The Card

I know a lot of people throw cards away, but if they’re sentimental and pretty I keep them. I love this very sweet and gorgeous card I got this year, with moving sequins inside of the heart.

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Junkshow

Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Eyeliners are my absolute favourites. I reviewed the gold Midnight Cowboy glitter from this collection before and absolutely loved it! The range of colours are stunning, they’re packed full of pigmented glitter and it’s long lasting. I can’t wait to use this stunning multi-tonal pink.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

I’ve seen this eyeshadow palette reviewed and mentioned on almost every blog, so I thought it was about time I tested it myself. I love that the eyeshadows are housed in a luxurious velvet case, with a reasonably sized mirror and a good quality double ended brush. I chose the original Naked palette, as when I swatched the colours, they seemed to compliment my skin tone more than Naked 2 and 3.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette

I’ve been desperate to own Gwen Stefani’s eyeshadow palette, as not only are the colours gorgeous, but the packaging is fantastic. A sturdy box style case, with a huge mirror inside, this is a palette that impresses. I particularly love the pink Harajuku colour, as well as the deep blue Danger and gold 1987 shades.

Dior 5 Couleurs Glowing Gardens in Blue Garden

The name of this eyeshadow set is a bit of a mouthful, but the two palettes in this spring collection are stunning. Blue Gardens is a silvery collection of colours, and all five shades have a beautiful rose design printed on them. It looks almost too pretty to use.

Nails Inc Special Effect Nail Polish in Electric Avenue

I’m a big fan of Nails Inc polishes, so I’m really excited to try this super sparkly nail polish out. It’s a stunning shade of silver that’s sure to create a high impact look.

Lush Tisty Tosty Bath Ballistic and Shimmy Shimmy Massage Bar

Tisty Tosty is a romantic heart shaped bath bomb, that contains seven real rose buds. It has a gorgeous floral and lemon scent and is part of Lush’s permanent range, so you can enjoy this all year round.

Shimmy Shimmy is another permanent Lush product that’s also great for Valentines. A heart shaped massage bar, scented with vanilla and lavender, it’s a real treat for the skin. It’s hydrating and keeps skin soft and supple, as well as adding a slight hint of shimmer.

Lush The Kiss Lip Scrub

Lush’s lip scrubs are my absolute favourites and this one is a Valentines special. A bubblegum pink colour, with tiny edible hearts and a mandarin scent, this is one you should add to your collection while you can.

Lush Refresher Shower Jelly

Lush’s shower jelly’s are not just great fun to wash with, but smell and feel great. The Refresher is a lemon scented jelly, infused with lemon oils to keep skin feeling soft, as well as super clean.

Paperchase Hand Stitched Heart Journal and Doughnut & Cupcake Pen

I love a new notepad to jot in and this hand stitched one with hearts, is as pretty as they come. Like a lot of stuff from Paperchase, it is a bit more pricey, but it looks and feels good quality.

As well as stunning notepads, Paperchase also sell wonderful stationery. This pen has a cute and quirky doughnut and cupcake design, which I love.

Personalised Etsy Cup

I already have a heap of personalised mugs and cups, but this one is very much me. With a makeup design and my full name printed underneath, it’s a gift I’ll get lots of use from.

Cupcake Bouquet

This Valentines Day, I asked for no chocolate as I still have loads left from Christmas. So my partner got me my other favourite thing. Cupcakes! This is a unique and gorgeous gift that tastes and looks great. Needless to say, these cakes didn’t last very long around me!
