A Very Large Shopping Haul Pt.1

I’ve been meaning to do a haul post for months now, but as I kept adding to it, I didn’t know where to start! So here’s what I got.

The Body Shop Haul

Satsuma Shower Gel

Way back in early July, the Body Shop had a tonne of sales on which I took advantage of. The first thing I got is this huge 750ml bottle of Satsuma Shower Gel. It’s one of my favourite scents that the Body Shop do as it’s so refreshing.

With the sales on and by using a discount code, I got this bottle for around £4. I haven’t started to use it yet, but it should last me ages.

Passion Fruit Shower Gel

As I loved the Body Shop’s Passion Fruit Body Butter so much, I knew I had to give these shower gels a try. I’ve used one so far and it’s just as lovely as the Body Butter. It’s sweet without being sickly and the smell stays long after washing.

Papaya and Early-Harvest Raspberry Shower Gels

The last of the shower gels from the Body Shop! I decided to buy two shower gels I’ve never tried before as they were on offer and again these smell amazing. The Raspberry products are often mentioned by other bloggers, so it’s about time I tried something from the range.

Papaya Body Butter

Despite not needing another Body Butter, I again decided to take advantage of the sales and buy a scent I’ve never tried before.

Facial Massager

This was a bit of an impulse purchase as I browsed in store one day. As I’d never tried a Facial Massager, I wanted to see if this would help my moisturisers sink into my skin better and improve my circulation. So far I haven’t noticed any difference when I’ve used this, but I’ll persevere to see if I see results.

The Lush Haul

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar

An oldie but a goldie. This Creamy Candy Bubble Bar has long been one of my favourites, as it has a gorgeously sweet scent and makes my bath pink and bubbly.

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt

I’ve always bypassed this bath melt as it’s teeny tiny, but as I’ve already tried most of Lush’s other products, I decided to give this a go.

It smells similar to the Creamy Candy Bar I mentioned above, but I found this product disappointing. It has almost no scent once it’s in the bath and added no bubbles or colour.

Cloak of Invisibility Bath Oil

This is an online and flagship store exclusive, so I picked this up when I was in the Oxford Street store. Again it’s a tiny product, but it made more of an impact on my bath than the Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt did.

Not only could I smell notes of Jasmine and Rosewood once I got into the bath, but the oils in this product made my skin feel nourished. That said the overall scent wasn’t my favourite, so I wouldn’t hurry to buy this again.

Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly

I ordered this online from the Lush Kitchen as it was my favourite Shower Jelly before it was discontinued. It smells of blackcurrant and cherries and reminds me of the Comforter Bubble Bar.

Refresher Shower Jelly

My favourite Shower Jelly from Lush’s current range is this one. It has an uplifting scent of lemon, so I picked up a small pot of this.

Candy Floss Showder

This is another item I picked up in the Oxford Street store. It’s a two in one product that can be used as a body wash and as a scrub. The overall scent is a mix of the Candy Bubble Bar and the popular Snow Fairy scent.

Mint Julips Lip Scrub

Lush’s Lip Scrubs are my favourites, so I can’t believe I’ve never tried this one before. It has a delectable mint-choc chip scent, that smells good enough to eat.

Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask

I’ve tried face masks from Lush in the past and found they didn’t make much difference to my skin, however, this mask is amazing! It’s super gentle, as well as being amazing at clearing and brightening skin.

Smuggler’s Soul Facial Scrub

This is another item I ordered from the Lush Kitchen. It was initially released for Father’s Day and I bought it as I read it’s a gentle scrub. So far from using it, I have to agree. It’s creamy in texture and the particles are as small as grains of sand, so it’s not a harsh or abrasive scrub.

Superdrug Haul

L’Oreal Sexy Balm in As If!

Despite the slightly dodgy name, I’ve been using this and love it. It’s not as dry as a lipstick or as glossy as a lipgloss, but it’s really comfortable to wear. The rosy colour of this is also flattering.

L’Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist

I’d been on the hunt for this Fixing Mist for quite some time, as it was never in any stores near me. So far I’ve found this disappointing as my makeup doesn’t seem to last any longer when I spray this on top, if anything it seems to wear off quicker! I’ll keep using this spray to see if my opinion changes.

Real Techniques 2 Miracle Mini Eraser Sponges

I always use Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, so I was pretty excited when I saw these mini ones for the under eye area. I’ll do a review once I’ve tried them out.

Zoella Sweet Inspirations Sugar Dip Scented Bath Salt Granules

I mentioned in a recent post that I love Zoella’s Sweet Inspirations range and in particular these Bath Salts. They have a sweet almond and macaroon scent and I use these in my bath most days.

The Boots Haul

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

I’ve heard so much about this mascara and how amazing it is, so I finally picked it up!

Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Treatment and Peach 101 Ointment

I’ve mentioned in quite a few posts that Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Treatment is my favourite lip balm. Not only does it smell great, but it contains lemon oil to exfoliate and smooth lips.

I got the Peach 101 Ointment free when I bought the Lemonaid lip balm and it also smells fantastic. It’s so thick and nourishing, it can be used on lips, cuticles and dry patches of skin.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Shower Jellies

Since these Shower Jellies came out a few months back, I’ve been obsessed with them. Sugar Crush has a lime and kiwi scent and the product is such a fun, easy to use jelly texture.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Scrub

When I ordered the Shower Jellies online, Soap & Glory had some offers on, so I added this to my basket to try. I haven’t used this body scrub yet, but it smells amazing, just like maple syrup.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Scrub

I also added this scrub to my basket, as I’ve never tried it before. It has the same gorgeous lime and kiwi scent as the Shower Jellies mentioned above.

Starburst Pina Colada Candle

I got this when I was on holiday in Caister last month. I spent a while trying to win this in an arcade with no luck, when one of the staff handed me one for free! It has such a fresh pineapple scent, I’ve been burning this daily.

John Lewis Mason Jar

I love drinking refreshing lemonade and other cold drinks in the summer from a Mason Jar, so I picked this one up.

That’s the first part of my Shopping Haul complete. Let me know what bits you love.

  1. So many goodies!!
I have yet to purchase the Passion Fruit and Raspberry scents at TBS, even though they smell amazing. I have to make a point to get them next time I see it in stores!
Those shower jellies look awesome! I have only ever tried Lush soaps (the ones where they cut for you), but the jellies look really interesting. Cloak of Invisibility sounds like it would be right up my alley – I love anything jasmine!

    1. I see the Raspberry products in store, but I usually only see the Passion Fruit online. Mostly when there’s a sale on. So keep a look out online☺ The soaps are nice too. The shower jellies smell great and are fun to use. Cloak of Invisibilty is another online product, but it’s a lovely little bath oil x

      1. Hmm, I feel like I’ve seen the Passion Fruit one in stores, but maybe I’m wrong :/
I didn’t like how the Lush soaps didn’t lather, so I wasn’t a huge fan. Would like to give their shower gels and shower jellies another try, though!

  2. I love reading your haul posts, you always get some pretty amazing things! I’m glad you mentioned the makeup fixing mist as I have been on the hunt for one and saw the L’Oreal one but I’ll try something else if it’s not very good. The lush things all look so nice. Great post! 🙂 x

      1. You’re welcome! Yeah I’ve heard mixed reviews on it. I think I will try another one, I know Barry M have released some so I may give those a go. I do too their stuff smells so good! 🙂 x

  3. Okay yesss to all the Soap & Glory stuff 😍😍 and that Mason Jar is super cute. The face massager sounds interesting but if you haven’t noticed any differences when using it I probably won’t bother trying it out. It would be so cool if it actually did something. 😂 The candy floss showder sounds amazing, I’m a huge lover of Snow Fairy so this sounds like a dream. And oh I knew you wouldnt like the L’Oréal fixing mist before I even read what you said, it’s not very good at all and I agree, my makeup comes off quicker if I wear it than it would if I didn’t. Have you tried Urban Decays all nighter spray? X

    1. Soap & Glory’s great isn’t it?☺ The Mason Jar is so cute and summery. Haha well I’ll keep using it and let you know if I notice a difference☺ You should definitely try it. It smells amazing! Yes it’s such a disappointing spray. I tried the original spray from UD and liked it, but last time I got the version for oily skin. I’ve hardly used that one x

      1. Yes so good! I love how its all such girly packaging too and all the scents are delicious. Have you tried their makeup? Yes it is! Okay thankyou, it does look really cool. Ah I want to try it. Lush is one of the best shops. It really is, did you ever notice it leaving white marks on your face too? It’s not very good at all! Oh how come you’ve not used it so much? Either way, Urban Decays sprays are so much better than L’Oreals. Smashbox and Maybelline have sprays too btw!! X

      2. The packaging and scents are amazing☺ I haven’t tried their makeup, but I’ve heard it’s good. Lush is defo one of the best shops. I pretty much love all their stuff😍 I haven’t noticed white marks, but I shake it loads before I use it haha. I just don’t think the one for oily skin works for me. I seem to get more oily, so I prefer the original spray😊 I’ll have to take a look at theirs. I just got a Barry M Matte setting spray. I’m saving it ’til I’ve tried the L’Oreal one more. I can’t see myself growing to like the L’Oreal one though x

  4. This is only part 1! WOW! These items all look amazing! That Starburst candle sounds delicious and I can’t wait to read your thoughts on that mascara. I too have heard so much about it but I would only consider buying it if it came in washable as I have a waterproof mascara by Maybelline and it is such a pain to remove, I rarely wear it for that reason xx

    1. I know. I didn’t know where to start with this haul! The candle is so nice. I’ve nearly finished it☺ I don’t like waterproof mascara either, as it’s a pain to take off. This isn’t waterproof, so hopefully it shouldn’t be hard to remove☺ x

      1. Oh! 😀

My husband and I moved a few years ago because our stuff (OK, my stuff) seemed to take over the place. It was like… the bottles, tubes and tubs were breeding! You know, like Gremlins when you feed them after midnight… now we have a bigger place, but The Stuff continues its quest for dominion…

      1. Oh no that sucks. I remember France being pricey and I went years ago. I didn’t know how much the drugstore products were as I never checked. I guess as US companies own them brands it’s not too cheap x

  5. My credit card is already sending up smoke signals because of what your post is about to make me do! Loved it! I am addicted to The Body Shoppe, and any and all Beauty posts have me at “shopping”! Great, fantastic, wonderful post!

  6. There’s a part 2 of this? 😮
Re: facial massager. I don’t think it will do much visibly to your skin but it does feel good. 🙂
Oooh I like the idea of those RT mini sponges for under eye. I’ll look to see if these are available here yet.
So nice they gave you that pina colada candle for free… well, it’s not really free since you already sunk so much money into the game! 😛

    1. Haha yes. I’ve wrote part 2 up, but I’ve used up my free WordPress allowance, so haven’t been able to add pictures. It does feel like I’m doing my skin some good by using it☺ I haven’t tried the sponges out yet but they seem more ideal for the under eye area. Haha true. But at least they took pity on me and just gave it to me in the end😂😊 x

      1. Yay I’ve been freed from spam hell!
Oh you might have to delete pictures or resize them. Will have you to upgrade?
I hope you enjoy your goodies and can’t wait to see 2nd part.
