Milky Piggy Face Mask

Several months ago I ordered the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Face Mask and now it’s time to finally review it!

Elizavecca is a popular South Korean brand and this particular product was mentioned a lot around the time I bought it. I didn’t read too much about this mask before trying it, as I assumed it would be a dark coloured peel off mask, that showed any dirt it pulled from pores and skin. How wrong I was.

Starting with the packaging, in typical Korean fashion, it features a cute picture of a pig wearing a face mask.

Once you remove the lid off the face mask, there’s a plastic cover to keep oxygen from damaging the product and a plastic spatula to apply the mask and keep it hygenic.

The face mask itself is a thick, spongy texture and contains clay. I spread the mask on to my face and it quickly got to work.

Instead of drying down like regular face masks, this one bubbles up. Once it’s completely bubbled up, you massage the product back into your skin so it looks like smooth clay. You leave it on for a couple of minutes more, then wash it off.

I’ve been using this mask once a week for the past couple of months and I’ve just finished up the tub. Whilst this is a fun and unique product, I found it to be nothing special.

The mask is meant to be great for absorbing oil, shrinking pores and leaving skin smoother. It does deliver on all of these claims, as my skin was squeaky clean and tighter after use. My pores have also shrunk.

However, most face masks will leave skin feeling clean and smooth after use. It hasn’t helped reduce blemishes and my skin has looked really dull since I’ve been using this mask. My overall opinion is that it’s an okay face mask, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again.

Let me know if you’ve tried the Milky Piggy Face Mask.

  1. Ive never used a clay mask before but its funny how it bubbles up and looks foam-y, does it eventually harden? Whats your favorite face mask to use thus far?

  2. It looks really cute! Too bad it didn’t WOW you. I have the Oxygen mask from Dr Brandt, which bubbles up like this. It tickles when it bubbles. And then leaves the skin very radiant. What a bummer this one didn’t do more. The packaging and the idea behind it is adorable!

      1. I think, in general, it’s hard to find masks that yield results. The other I tried recently that really impressed me was the Fresh rose mask. My skin was so soft after using that … I was running around my house making everyone touch me because I was so impressed with it!!

  3. The bubble masks make me laugh and feel like a kid again. I use Doctor Brandt’s bubble mask and it is amazing! (All of his products are just super expensive unfortunately) you can feel it bubbling which I love. It is a bummer this one didn’t work out 😦

      1. Lol Exactly! In a super duper Mr. Bubble kinda way! ;D That would be the perfect present! I usually buy mine at Sephora when they are offering a discount. Also a good thing about them (besides points!) is that if you use his products and don’t like them you can return them even if you have used some of it, so you aren’t out a ton of money if for some reason you don’t like his line.

  4. I want to try one of these mask just for fun! I think my SO would freak out seeing it foam up like that haha! This particular one might be better suited for the summer months for me – right now it’d be too drying, I think.
