May Empties

This month I’ve used up a fair few products and there’s been lots that I’ve loved. So here’s a look at my May Empties.

Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara

I used this mascara up a while back, but somehow missed it from my last Empties post! This is the first Tarte product I’ve ever tried and I absolutely loved it.

Not only did it give good length and volume, but it didn’t clump and gave my lashes a fluttery false lash effect.

Repurchase? Definitely! When I use up the other mascaras I have in my collection, I’ll be re-purchasing this.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lovely Pink

I thought I got a front shot of this blush, but I didn’t before I threw it away. Oops!

I didn’t initially love this blush, but it really grew on me. It’s a super soft, gentle pink shade that made my skin glow and look healthy. The only thing that I disliked about this blush, is that it needed to be reapplied throughout the day and wasn’t that long wearing.

Repurchase? Yes, once I use up some of the blushes I already have in my collection.

Origins Lavender, Orange and Rose Sheet Masks

My last blog post was a review of all three of these face masks, so go take a look!

I found all three masks gave good results, but the Orange sheet mask was the best for overall performance.

Repurchase? Yes. I’m undecided on whether I would buy the Lavender mask again, but I would re-purchase the other two.

Colour Vibe Pastels Pink Blush Conditioning Shampoo-in Colour

The past couple of months, I’ve been using Colour Vibe Shampoos to add a subtle tint of colour to my hair in between hair appointments. Not only does this add a pretty pink tint to my hair, but as it’s a conditioning shampoo, it leaves my hair super soft.

Repurchase? I already have.

Orly Polish Bond Base Coat

I was so close to finishing up this Orly base coat, but it dried out just before I did! This is by far the best base coat I’ve used, as it helps my nail polishes apply smoothly and last longer.

Repurchase? Yes.

Aqua Serena Soothing Bath Oil

I got this bath oil from the Roman Baths gift shop in the city of Bath and I really liked it. It had a spa type scent, but was also slightly masculine and it wasn’t greasy to use. My skin felt hydrated and soft after using this in the bath, but never oily.

Repurchase? Yes, if I’m ever in Bath I’d buy this again.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

I finally started to use this massive, 1kg bottle in March and I’m really sad it’s finished. Snow Fairy is my favourite ever shower gel as it’s wonderfully sweet smelling, but not sickly.

Repurchase? Yes, yes, yes! As soon as it’s released near Christmas time, I’ll be stocking up.

Super Beauty Lemon & Lime Bath & Shower Gel

This bath and shower gel from Boots is one of my favourite, new discoveries. It smells incredibly zingy and fresh, almost like a zesty cocktail. It’s summery and uplifting to use, plus it helps perks me up in the morning.

Repurchase? I already have.

Bath and Body Works Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut Candle

My first ever Bath and Body Works candle and I absolutely loved it! Most candles have little or no scent when they’re burning, but this one made my room smell sweet and delicious like it’s name suggests.

Repurchase? Yes! I also want to try out some more Bath and Body Works candles.

So that’s all of my May Empties. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products.

    1. Haha I had so many other shower gels and bath things that I got for Christmas, I didn’t start on it until March! I did have a smaller bottle which I used over Christmas though😊x

  1. Wow you finished a whole blush! So impressive. I’ve only ever achieve that once in my life… likely never again though! 😛
Oh too bad about the Orly Bonder base coat drying out on you. It’s also my favourite base coat!
I’m going to keep an eye out for that Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel next holiday time!

    1. Haha I rarely ever finish a blush either! I hit pan really quick with this one. It’s mine too. I’ve rarely painted my nails lately, so I guess the end bit just dried up. I’ll have to get another bottle☺ You should. It’s my favourite ever shower gel. As I’ve used mine up so late it’ll be out again soon😂 xx

    1. Haha I know. I hit pan without even realising. I thought how have I finished a blush?! I’m pleased though, as I have a lot of others to try out. It’s so nice. My favourite ever candle and whenever I burn it, guests ask what one it is as it smells so nice😊 xx

  2. I had the exact same thoughts on the Max Factor Lovely Pink blush!! I was kinda like ‘meh’ at first because the colour just didn’t seem that pigmented. But the flush of colour really has grown on me and now it’s one of my faves in my collection! xxx

The cinnamon sugared doughnut scent always makes me crave doughnuts so badly….or sweets in general. So dangerous but it smells so good that I can’t resist!!! Ive never tried Tarte’s mascara but now I want to I love mascaras that are good for volume and length!

    1. They do! It adds a soft tint, so it’s not full on bright like when I get it done at the salon. But it helps maintain some pink in my hair😊 I lovvvee that candle and it makes me crave sweet foods too! So sad I finished the candle, I need to go to a Bath and Body Works😊 It’s such a good mascara. Super quick to use too as it doesn’t go clumpy x

      1. Lush is definitely my favourite store and it’s a running joke among my friends about how on shopping trips they should leave me in lush and come find me when they’re done shopping for the day 😂 they definitely need to have a b&bws shop in the UK! I first went into one earlier this year when I went to New York and fell in love 🙂

      2. Haha I love Lush. I really need to go in store soon, as I have saved loads of used up pots to claim a free face mask or two! Aaw I bet. There was a store in Italy but it didn’t sell the full line like in the US. We’re hoping to be in NYC soon xx
