My Holiday to Tenerife-Arriving on the Sunny Island

Last week I arrived home from a five night holiday in Tenerife. Whilst most of my holidays are action packed, Tenerife was a break to unwind, relax and catch some sun. So here’s what I got up to on day one of my holiday.

As we had a pretty early flight, my alarm sounded just after 4am.

Me in the car on the way to the airport.

As usual we grabbed a McDonald’s breakfast on the way to set us up.

And then it was time to fly from London to Tenerife, which is closer to West Africa then Spain. Due to the location of the island, it falls in the same time zone as the UK.

Once we’d arrived at Tenerife South Airport, we took a taxi to our hotel.

We stayed at the Regency Country Club, which is a stunning Balinese themed hotel with spacious apartments.

The entrance to the hotel.

The hotel lobby.

Upon arrival, we was each given a complimentary glass of Prosecco with another free bottle in the fridge in our apartment.

Our apartment was spacious and totally gorgeous.

Four poster bed.

The bathroom.

The Jacuzzi bath, which I loved! It felt like having a spa treatment every time I used it.

Our balcony, with sitting area and sunloungers.

We also had a second upstairs balcony with more sunloungers.

I’d definitely recommend staying at the Regency Country Club, as it felt like a home away from home.

After checking out our apartment and unpacking, we went to take a look at the hotel pool.

Cocktails by the pool.

And taking a dip.

After relaxing by the pool and swimming, we headed back to our apartment to shower and I tried out the Jacuzzi bath for the first time!

And then it was time to head out, just in time to see a gorgeous sunset by the pool.

We booked a taxi to take us to one of the main areas, Playa de las Americas for food.

We went to Hard Rock Cafe and as there was a wait, they said they’d phone us when a table was free, which gave us time to explore the area.

We popped in some shops and played mini golf, which was open until 1am!

And then it was time to eat!

I had some yummy veggie fajitas and my partner had a burger.

Followed by one of my favourite desserts! Ice cream, warm chocolate brownie, cream, sprinkles and a cherry on top, this sundae has it all.

After our feast we got a taxi back to our hotel, ready for day two.

  1. I miss Tenerife! My family and I used to go there every other Christmas for like 14 years.. I can’t say I’ve heard of your hotel though, where on the island is it located?

      1. They’re probably like us, not able to handle the summer heat! Ah i see, that is a bit farther away than where we usually stay, we stay around the Compostela golf hotels so that we have a fairly good walking distance to everything. x

      2. Haha British people hate our summers but love other hot countries😂 Our summers are too humid I guess. We was going to stay more central, but we loved the look of this hotel. Plus it was more of a relaxing break for us, so we was happy staying in a quieter bit and taking taxis😊 xx

  2. I lovee the blue tiles in the bathroom of the hotel, that is super neat and pretty!! Oh how I wish I was laying out in that pool area right now with that same exact drink in my hand too!!! Pool days are one of my favorite things on vacation! I love that they have Hard Rock Cafes out there, that’s one of my favorite restaurants I really like their ambiance in there. Looks like a successful first day/night there!!!

    1. I loved the bathroom. Even though the hotel was Balinese themed, the apartments felt Spanish in decoration😊 Aaw me too girl. I wish I was back there! We never do pool days or anything, so this break was for relaxing😊 My partner loves Hard Rock so we always go, but I love it there too. The cocktails and food’s so good. Thanks hun, it was a great first day xx

  3. You know, I didn’t know much about Tenerife before your vacation. I’m adding it to my list of places to visit!
Your hotel apartment looked incredible! I would have had a Jacuzzi bath nightly too! 🙂
I haven’t played mini golf in ages – I’m no good at it but half the fun is seeing how badly I can putt. 😛
Haha, I guess you REALLY liked that sundae since you had to provide a zoomed in shot! 😆

    1. Aaw you should. I loved it!😊 The apartment was so nice and cosy. I used the Jacuzzi bath a good few times, it’s a lot of fun especially when you add a bath bomb! It was super bubbly and my skin was so soft after😊 Haha I play it quite often and I have to say I’m pretty good😂 Must be all my family holidays, there’s always a mini golf where we go. I did😂 I thought it looked extra gooey up close haha xx
