Vegan Nights Food Market

Last week me and my partner headed to the Vegan Nights food market in East London.

Vegan Nights is a monthly ticketed event, with tonnes of food stalls, a bar and DJs.

Here’s a look inside.

We spent quite some time wandering around, as there was so many stalls and a lot of choice.

Our first stop of the night was at the Pig Out stall, which sells vegan hot dogs. Whilst I’m not usually a hot dog fan, the German Dawg was out of this world good!

After sharing a hot dog, we queued at the super popular Biff’s Jack Shack, where we bought a Samuel Hell Jackson burger.

This burger did not disappoint. It was hot, spicy and delicious. My partner ranked this as his favourite ever burger, high praise indeed.

We also ate at Itis LDN, a Caribbean food stall. We tried the Trini Roti, which is a roti filled with curried vegetables.

It was nice enough but not my favourite food of the night, just because I prefer a spicier curry as opposed to the sweeter one in this roti.

The last savoury food stall we visited was Little Leaf Food, which sells pizza.

We had a regular Margherita and added mushrooms as a topping. The vegan cheese used was lovely and the pizza itself was great.

Our last stop of the night was at Vida Bakery. We’d visited the Vida stall at a different event and I wasn’t impressed by their sweet goods, however as they’re super popular I gave them another try.

As with last time the cake looked better than it tasted sadly.

After a super fun night we headed home, but we’ll definitely be back next month!

  1. This vegan event looks great – pretty much like any other food fair but it just so happens to be all vegan! I probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if I was handed that hot dog!
Too bad the cake wasn’t good – I would have been so disappointed, dessert is my favourite and I always save room!

    1. It was really good! The hot dog was amazing. My partner eats meat but he loved the food, so it must be good😊 I love cake too. We took the cake home to eat later, so I was disappointed it wasn’t nice. I’d try one of the other cake stalls next time☺ x

    1. I think it was supposed to be a one-off event but it’s done so well it seems to now be on monthly☺ The German Dawg was amazing. I usually hate veggie hot dogs but this was so good! I know, I’m sad the cakes weren’t good. Next time I’d try one of the other cake stalls😊 x

      1. Ha! I always feel bad when it’s summer, and the sun goes up and I’m still up!

Late shift this week. 12:00 start. 🙂
My alarm goes off at 9:36 (yes, those 6 extra minutes of sleep are important). I guess I’ll be up until 3:30, so I have plenty of time to catch up with my blogging buddies. 🙂

      2. 😂 I know what you mean. In general I think I’ll go to bed at midnight but nope never happens! Well today I kept hitting the 5 minute snooze button. Those extra 5 minutes felt great, it all counts! X

      1. Not Vida Bakeries ones! There’s other vegan cake stalls that I’ll try next time but I prefer savoury vegan food. Cakes and chocolate aren’t as good as the real thing yet☺ x

  2. This sounds like such a fun event and definutely something different to do from the norm, I’ve wanted to branch out and try more vegan food lately so this looks like the perfect place to go to do just that. I really want to try that burger now because I love burgers anyway and if you’re partner ranked it as his favourite ever, it must be good! Glad you had a good time hun, hopefully next time you go you’ll find some sweeter treats that you like more than Vida Bakery X
