Arriving at Disneyland Paris

Last month I went on holiday to Disneyland Paris with my partner, my mum and little brother. So here’s a look at our first day there.

We got up and ready early, as we had to head into London for the Eurostar.

My first Disney outfit of the trip.

We took a taxi to King’s Cross St. Pancras station, whizzed through security and then we was on the Eurostar.

We had a direct train to Marne-la-Vallèe, the nearest station to Disneyland Paris and in less than three hours we was there!

Once we’d arrived, we took the five minute shuttle bus to our hotel, Disney’s Newport Bay Club.

Nautical themed, I really loved our hotel. It was a ten minute walk to Disney Village and around twenty minutes to the main park.

Room selfie.

We unpacked and spent half an hour or so relaxing, before heading downstairs to check out the Bay Boutique in our hotel.

I held off buying anything there the first night, but went on a shopping spree on our final day at Disney!

After browsing the boutique we walked to the Disney Village.

Our first stop was at the Lego Store.

Where we spent quite some time making our own figures.

We also visited a few other shops, before walking back to our hotel as we was booked in for dinner.

As well as lots of different desserts, they had a different ‘main’ item each night. The first night was an ice cream maker!

We was all so impressed by the variety of food on offer, we booked to eat there again the next night.

After dinner we headed straight back out to the Disney Village, where we explored more of the shops.

Before stopping off at a stall that sold the cutest, Mickey themed food!

I got a white chocolate Mickey apple.

As it was just a couple of hours before the fireworks and illuminations, we made our way to the main Disneyland Park.

Where we saw the most beautiful sunset behind the Disney Castle.

We explored the park, went on a few small rides, before finding a spot to watch the illuminations.

I can’t even begin to describe how beautiful and amazing the illuminations were! My favourite moments were Frozen, Beauty and the Beast and of course, the grand finale with lots of fireworks.

After a busy day we headed back to our hotel, ready for day two.

  4. Wow. That sunset behind the castle is so so beautiful! Incredible, what a view 🙂 I love your mickey top hun, it’s so cute. Disney is the best place for shopping. I swear I could spend hundreds of thousands of pounds there. Isn’t it amazing how quickly you arrived too? It’s so crazy how you can literally be in a different country in the space of a few hours. The illuminations look beautiful, I imagine the Frozen and Beauty & the beast segments were gorgeous. This has made me so so excited for my trip hun and I am so looking forward to reading the rest of your Disney posts 🙂

  5. Your hotel is so cute! 😍
I love how everything is so themed – they really know how to market everything! Reminds me of Tokyo Disney – even the eye yolk was Mickey shaped.
We didn’t stay late in the park so we didn’t see the light show and fireworks – now I wished we had! So magical. ⭐
