A Day by the Sea

As the weekend was scorching hot, me and my partner decided to head to the seaside.

Whilst we usually drive to Southend in Essex, we drove further along to a beach in Westcliff, as it’s much quieter.

Car selfie.

As we arrived at lunchtime, we ate at a cafe by the beach.

Cheese and tomato toastie for me.

Then we spent the day relaxing in the sun and paddling in the sea.

Despite Chalkwell being a pebbly beach, we found lots of beautiful shells to take home.

Then as it reached early evening, we headed back towards Southend, where we walked along the seafront and played games in the amusement arcades.

After a fun day in the sun, we drove back home to city life in London.

  1. Sounds like such a nice day out! Is that lip colour in your selfie the cranberry shade from Tanya Burr? Can’t beat a good toastie, cheese and mashed potato is a good combo 😛 Collecting shells at the beach is a must! xx

    1. It is the cranberry shade😊 Ooh really? I’ve only ever had toasties on there own, but that sounds good😊 I love collecting shells. The beaches nearest to us just have stones, so I was surprised Westcliff had so many shells😌 xx
