Valentine’s Day

I hope you all had an amazing Valentine’s Day yesterday, whether you’re in a relationship, celebrated with friends or treated yourself, it’s a day of love regardless.

Both me and my partner was working, but after work we exchanged presents and cards at home.

As well as all of the wonderful gifts pictured above, my partner surprised me with a gift each morning in the lead up to Valentine’s.

My favourite surprise was these beautiful flowers.

I usually only write about the presents I’ve received, but I’m often asked about what I bought my partner.

He asked for a couple of practical gifts such as a reusable water bottle and facial trimmer, but I surprised him with a book that he wanted and a Fitbit which he was delighted with!

After presents, we drove an hour to The Oaktree Vegan Restaurant in Essex. We had a three course set menu which was perfect.

To start my partner had garlic and chilli ‘prawns’, whilst I had the dhal soup.

For mains we both had the satay stirfry without the satay!

And for dessert we had the warm chocolate brownie and biscoff cheesecake to share.

After a wonderful evening we headed home, excited for our upcoming break and more celebrations.
