New Year’s Resolutions-August Update

It’s been a while, but here’s a look at how I got on in August with my new year’s resolutions.

1-Eat Healthy & Exercise

Tick and tick! I did relax my diet at times as we celebrated my 30th birthday and went on holiday to Turkey, but I still ate healthy most of the time.

In regards to exercise I kept up my usual routine of working out at least three times a week. In Turkey we did a four hour hike through Rose and Red Valley, as well as swimming.

2-Read More

August wasn’t my best reading month. I read:

-Lonely Planet Turkey

I started reading another book, which I’ve almost finished. However, I’ll mention it in September’s update.

3- Do 2 New Things Per Month

Definitely achieved!

We went on a hot air balloon ride for my 30th birthday.

Quad biked through Turkish valleys.

Stayed in a cave hotel.

And much more.

4-Travel/Go For Days Out

In August we went to:

-Cappadocia, Turkey

-Boscombe, Dorset

Both are new places for us and Turkey was also a new country.

We had lots of wonderful days out in Turkey, visiting the valleys, Goreme Open Air Museum and exploring the town itself.

5-Save Money

In August I did purchase a few new outfits and me and my partner went away to Turkey and Boscombe for a long weekend, so we both ended up spending quite a bit of money. However, it was mostly on experiences and days out/breaks rather than possessions. I hope to save better throughout September.

6-Use My Phone Less

This is something I really go through phases with. On holiday I looked at my phone a lot less, but the days I’m working I check my phone whilst travelling, at work, etc. I definitely check my phone a lot out of boredom and habit.

  1. Hot air balloons and quad biking!!! What an adventure! So much fun my love- now Turkey is definitely on my list hehe! Congratulations on exercising and eating well! Well done beauty!!! And I check my phone out of boredom and habit too, definitely need to stop this because it’s making me feel drained! Thanks for sharing beauty! Have an amazing (end of Sep) and October hehe! Also the four hour hike sounds incredible- NEED!

    1. Yaas! Turkey is amazing, I would 10p% return to Cappadocia😊 It is draining. Sometines I’m tired so instead of reading I look at my phone etc. Such an annoying habit to have. Yes the hiking was incredible. It was like being in a different world! You too huni and I’ll see you in November😁 xx
